Changing your logo and adding a site icon (favicon) in GeneratePress is a quick and easy process. Here’s how you can do it:

Step 1: Change Your Logo

  1. Access the Customizer:
    • From your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize.
  2. Select Site Identity:
    • In the Customizer, click on Site Identity. This is where you can manage your website’s logo and other identity-related settings.
  3. Upload or Change the Logo:
    • Click on the Select Logo button. If you already have a logo in place, you can click on it to change it.
    • Choose the new logo from your Media Library or upload a new image.
    • Crop the image as needed or skip cropping if it’s already the right size.
  4. Preview and Publish:
    • Your new logo will be visible in the preview window. Once you’re satisfied with the change, click Publish to make it live.

Step 2: Add a Site Icon (Favicon)

  1. Scroll to Site Icon:
    • Still in the Site Identity section, scroll down to find the Site Icon option. This is the small image that appears in browser tabs when people visit your website.
  2. Upload the Site Icon:
    • Click on Select Site Icon and upload an image that’s ideally square (e.g., 512×512 pixels) to ensure it fits well.
  3. Publish Changes:
    • Once the site icon is uploaded, you can see a preview of it in the browser tab. Click Publish to save your changes.

Final Step: Verify on the Front End

  • Visit your website to see the updated logo and site icon in action. Your new logo should be displayed in the header, and the site icon should appear in the browser tab.

This simple update helps keep your website branding consistent across all platforms and devices.
