Have questions about web design consulting?
I do my best to cover the most common ones below, but if you’re still not sure about something, reach out to me.
How finished does my web design need to be?
Bring something you’d feel comfortable showing a paying client. No wireframes, napkin sketches, or half-empty templates. Whether you used AI or not, it needs to be a fully composed design with final imagery and text (or lorem ipsum) already in place.
Do I get a follow-up call?
The Loom review covers everything, and you’ll receive a complete list of actions to take. After you implement the changes, I’ll do a quick follow-up review for any final recommendations. If you’d like to screen-share and talk it out, you can book a 30-minute live session at my hourly rate.
Will you design pages from scratch?
Not under this package. I’m not designing for you, I’m providing feedback for what you should do with your design. If you need a completely new design, I’m happy to quote a separate project.
What do your web design consulting services actually include?
You’ll receive one personally recorded Loom video, a bullet-point task list, and one follow-up review. Need deeper implementation? I can quote follow-up dev time.
Can you review AI-generated web designs?
Yes. If AI has helped you get a design most of the way there, I can review it the same way I’d review any other mockup. The main difference is that I’ll also flag the bits that feel too generic, too samey, or too obviously AI-generated.
What’s usually wrong with AI web designs?
The big one is that they all start to look a bit alike. Same sort of layout, same sort of fonts, same sort of styling, no matter what industry you’re in. They can also miss the mark on brand fit, hierarchy, spacing, and what the page is actually trying to do. So while the design might look “fine” at first glance, it often needs help to feel more original and more strategic.
Do I need a Figma file for an AI web design review?
No. As long as I can open the design and see it properly, that’s the main thing. If the AI tool gives you an HTML file, a browser view, or a static export, that can still work for a review.
Can you help make an AI web design feel less generic?
Yes, and that’s a big part of the value here. I can recommend better fonts, a stronger color palette, better spacing, layout changes, and other fixes that help the design feel more like a real brand and less like an AI draft that got left half-finished.
How is this different from traditional web design consulting retainers?
Retainers lock you into monthly hours. My model is on-demand: buy a design review when you need it, no recurring invoices, no unused time rolling over.
Can a web designer outside my agency still benefit?
Absolutely. If you’ve outsourced design, I can act as quality control – providing expert feedback and advice they can implement immediately.
Do you review the whole site or just the homepage during web page design consulting?
You choose. Send the homepage, a sales funnel, or the entire suite. Pricing scales by page count starting from $349 – so you pay only for what you need.
